How I calculate my prices:
I specialise in being a bespoke mobile studio photographer, that is I will bring studio equipment to your location or shoot with you at a studio convenient for you. Your shoot will be customised to your specific needs to get the best results for the best price.
My pricing has four components:-
- my fee for my services,
- travel costs,
- studio hire (if applicable),
- other costs such as hair and makeup artist fees or single-use props or food and so on.
- My Fee
£25 per hour of shooting time, for non-commercial shoots. Non-commercial shoots are for images that will not be sold or used to advertise a product or service. Portraits, portfolios, headshots, etc are "non-commercial".
I do not charge for travel time, post-processing time, time preparing final images or planning and preparation time.
My fee includes planning, the shoot itself, post-processing the images, presenting proof images on your own password-protect page of my web-site and preparing the final images in various digital formats suited to printing, digital galleries, emailing, social media and model/talent agencies.
Digital images are included in my fee - no surprise or hidden extra fees
My fixed fee for commercial shoots will be quoted in advance, depending on the volume of images to be produced, any shooting or post-processing specifics (such as Amazon marketplace requirements) and the intended use. Commercial shoots include product shoots, content for sale shoots, brand shoots, etc.
2. Travel Costs
I will generally travel to the shoot location by car. I will need parking at the shoot location, as I bring quite a lot of gear.
50 pence per mile for the round trip, from CH8 9BA and any tolls or parking costs.
3. Studio Hire (if applicable)
No fee if we shoot at a location provided by you, such as your home, business or other location.
Ideally we will need 4m x 3m of clear space to set up the studio gear. Some shoots can be done in a smaller space. I would prefer to have mains electric available.
Typically £15 per hour - £40 per hour to hire a photography studio. There is generally a minimum booking of 2 hours and discounts for half day or full day bookings. I will provide a list of suitable studios near you and the fees for each one as part of my quote.
I will ask for a deposit payment in advance to cover studio costs.
4. Other Costs
I will pass-on any other costs for the shoot agreed in advance. These might be for Hair & Makeup Artists or props specifically required for your shoot, food on full-day shoots, prints, wall art, photo-books, etc.
I will only ask for payment when you are happy with your proof images (other than studio deposits).
What you can expect from your shoot:
I produce high quality digital images for you to use.
For a non-commercial shoot you expect 6 - 10 final edited images per hour we shoot.
For commercial shoots, we will agree the number of images required in advance and a suitable shooting plan.
When shooting in a studio, I generally shoot with my camera tethered to my laptop, so you can see the images as we shoot and select the images you would like for final editing.
You are not able to sell images from non-commercial shoots, use them on paid subscription sites or use them to advertise a product or service.
Images from commercial shoots will be licensed for use as per our agreement before the shoot.
The images I produce are edited as standard, to ensure correct colour rendition, deal with any spots or blemishes or smudged lipstick or fluff or stray hairs and so on. I will soften skin, adjust lighting, deal with any other distractions and cropping.
Any special or advanced editing requirements should be agreed in advance and may attract an additional charge. These are very rare requests, but just in case.
The digital images will be provided as large, high quality images for high quality printing and in more compressed formats suited to emailing and social media.
If you want any hardcopy prints, canvases, photo-books, etc I am happy to arrange this. There will be a charge, which I will confirm in advance, depending on your requirements.
I do not provide RAW files to clients for editing themselves. I want to maintain control of the quality of the images I produce.

Headshots
You're looking for headshots for your brand, business, profile or CV.
I recommend a 2-hour shoot to allow yourself a few changes of outfit and image styling. If your headshots are for an agency, check for any specific requirements the agency might have (e.g. makeup/no makeup, some require side and back of head shots, etc).
Headshots and Portfolio
Perfect for Models, Actors, Performers, Supporting Artists, Influencers or just for fun.
I recommend a 3 to 4 hour shoot to create a range of images and styles with multiple outfit changes. I'll guide you on outfit selection and posing. You will be able to review and select your favourite images, during the shoot, on my laptop.
Check for any specific requirements the agency might have (e.g. makeup/no makeup, specific outfit requirements and some require full-length side and back shots, etc).

Beauty, Portrait, Maternity, Boudoir, Milk Bath
Treat yourself to a session to capture your beauty and feel great about yourself.
Shooting in the comfort of your home, a special location or a studio, I recommend a 3 to 4 hour shoot to create a variety of beautiful images.
Free consultation in advance to plan styles, outfits, props, fabrics, etc and to consider hair and makeup artist services, pampering, party shoots and so on.
Digital images are included. Prints, wall-art, photo-books, etc can be ordered before or after the shoot to your specific needs.
Commercial Shoots
Take your products to market with the best images, whether it be through print, digital, Amazon (or other market places) or for your own web-site/social platforms.

I am happy to arrange all aspects of a shoot, such as location, models, consumables, etc.

New Offering : Adult Party Roving Photographer or Photo Booth
£30 per hour (minimum 3 hours) and round trip mileage at 50 pence per mile from CH8 9BA.
Photo Booth in a staged area with party themed props and studio lights. (Requires minimum 3m x 3m clear floor apace and mains electric supply, parking at the venue and access for 1 hour in advance to setup and 1 hour after to pack away.)
Jpeg images provided at the end of the event either on a data stick to your nominated person. (Requires payment in advance.)
